Review by hotel critic
My time at Castel Victoria was a delightful escape blending history, serene surroundings, and a culinary journey that left me craving more. The breakfast room, Le Saint Jean, a mere stroll away from the hotel, was a sanctuary for my taste buds. As I indulged in the sweet buffet breakfast, the sun-kissed room beckoned me to savor a touquettois novel in the quiet moments before a day of exploration. One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, I found solace in the hotel's bar. The Pop Art décor, paired with plush Chesterfield sofas, set the stage for a perfect aperitif. Sipping on a French cocktail, the ambiance enveloped me in a world where time slowed and every sip was an experience. As a history teacher with a penchant for the finer culinary traditions, the breakfast options were a delight, reminiscent of mornings spent in quaint French cafes. The proximity to Aux Mignardises, Ricochet, and Jean's Cafe added a layer of culinary diversity to my stay. The morning ritual of coffee, orange juice, croissants, and bread, at a nominal fee.Castel Victoria offers a harmonious blend of comfort, culinary delights, and historical charm, making it a haven for both travelers and food enthusiasts alike. Perfectly situated near charming cafes and bistros, my stay was a gastronomic exploration intertwined with the essence of French culture, subtly defining the art of indulgence.Disclosure: The breakfast room experience was my favorite ritual during my stay at Castel Victoria, whisking me away on a culinary journey that seamlessly intertwined history and hedonism.
